Fatal car accidents may warrant legal action in Florida

Making sense of serious accidents rarely comes easy to anyone. Many individuals attempt to understand why car accidents and other incidents take place, especially when a loved one is killed as a result, but it is often difficult to find the desired answers. Unfortunately, many people are often left grieving and hoping to find the best way to contend with such events.

Multiple families in Florida may be in such a predicament after a recent incident that claimed two lives. Reports stated that the crash involved three vehicles when a pickup truck was traveling the wrong direction on the roadway. Apparently, the pickup was heading west in the eastbound lane, and the driver of a car traveling east attempt to avoid colliding with the truck but was unsuccessful. The car came to a stop on the shoulder of the road, and a passenger was ejected. The pickup truck then collided with another oncoming vehicle.

The incident resulted in the ejected passenger suffering fatal injuries. She was reported as being 13 years old. The driver and another passenger in that car were also injured, but those injuries were not considered life threatening. The driver of the third vehicle involved was treated for injuries and released. Reports stated that the pickup truck driver was also killed in the event.

Fatal car accidents often present surviving families with many challenges. When someone else is considered at fault for the death of a loved one, filing a legal claim is often warranted. Though the driver considered at fault for this Florida crash died as a result of the incident, the family of the young girl and the surviving injured individuals could still file civil claims against the man's estate if they wish to do so in order to seek compensation.
